**The Assets** section is like the “homepage” of the Sinfonia platform. Here, you’ll find an overview of all the Fan Tokens in your Sinfonia wallet, showing how much is available, how much is bonded, and the BTSG price as a reference point.

You can also see all of your Sinfonia assets listed individually, with their tickers and amounts.

Sinfonia is a multi chain platform. On this app you might have assets on different chains (ex. BitSong, Osmosis, Cosmos etc.). In order to be able to provide liquidity on the pools, you might need to perform interchain transfers.

**The Swap** section is where you can trade your Sinfonia FanTokens for BTSG or other assets. It offers a familiar DEX-like interface, where you simply choose your from/to assets and amounts, and then click to swap, approving the transaction via your browser wallet. You’ll be able to see the estimated slippage and review fees before approval. In the Swap screen, you can also see a preview of the DEX, which shows a table of the top listed Fan Tokens on Sinfonia, together with their 24-hour price movement as a percentage, and the price itself in USD.

<figure><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1050/0*0rIJ6Aurxzaki2Ps" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**The DEX** screen shows an enhanced view of the DEX, with the market cap and 24-hour trading volume also included. Visual charts next to each asset allow traders to quickly identify trending FanTokens.

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2FIDnj1R4j1yuhk97bnGnL%2FScreenshot%202022-12-06%20201808.png?alt=media&amp;token=4938ac5e-9048-4433-a97a-8572da8fc01e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**The Pools** feature is where liquidity providers can take advantage of the opportunity to earn yields on their Fan Token deposits on the Sinfonia platform. Artists set up their liquidity pools with their preferred token pairs, and providers can then bond tokens to the pool to earn a share of transaction fees, and perhaps even some additional FanTokens as rewards, via [Yield Farming](/yield-farming).

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2FBbl4wqUQ9gg7JUsyOBKF%2FScreenshot%202022-12-06%20202003.png?alt=media&amp;token=f1aa215c-3213-4422-a8b1-cf902fedf17b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**The Airdrop** section is the place where Fans and Users can redeem their prizes if they are eligible. When an artist or FanToken or NFT creator runs a giveaway campaign or calls their community to action by giving FanToken or NFT rewards in return, this will be the place where prizes will wait for their winners.

**The Playground** is the place where future competitions, being them testnet or mainnet ones, take place. Always take a look to that section in order to be aware of any running campaign.

All the NFT's features are still in Testnet and are scheduled to go in mainnet in the very 1st part of Q1 2023. At the moment you can get an explanation of those features in the [**Sinfonia NFT Testnet**](/sinfonia-nft-testnet) section of this documentation while you can explore them live in the [**Sinfonia Testnet Environment**](https://testnet-app.sinfonia.zone/nfts).

# Get Started

In this documentation, you'll have the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of Sinfonia and discover all of its features. We've prepared a collection of guides and explanations that will make it easy for you to navigate the platform and start using it to its fullest potential. Whether you're new to Sinfonia or a seasoned user, these resources will provide you with the knowledge you need to make the most out of the platform and unlock its full potential.

# Create Wallet

In order to be able to connect to Sinfonia and perform operation on the UI, you will need to generate your BitSong wallet.

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2F8MRGrhC4QW1bvVSWn1kQ%2FScreenshot%202022-12-05%20235317.png?alt=media&amp;token=885ea10f-f248-46bd-855c-c59d0407281f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This is a [**full guide**](https://docs.bitsong.io/useful-guides/how-to-create-a-bitsong-wallet) on how you can create a BitSong wallet via Keplr.

However, keep in mind that we have several options available and we're using Keplr just as an example.&#x20;

Wallets are available both on desktop computers and on smartphone devices. You'll need to choose the wallet that fits your needs best.

In the event you want to perform the wallet generation via mobile app, [**Cosmostation**](https://docs.bitsong.io/btsg/wallets#cosmostation) or [**Leap Wallet**](https://docs.bitsong.io/btsg/wallets#leap-wallet) might be your options.

Mobile device wallets and desktop-based wallets to interact with Sinfonia and the BitSong Blockchain, have different strengths and weaknesses. Consider which fits your needs better to help decide which type of wallet to use.

{% hint style="danger" %}
NEVER, in any situation, should you ever give someone your private key or recovery phrase ("seed phrase"). This will give someone complete access to your crypto!
{% endhint %}

# Connect to Sinfonia with Keplr

In order to connect to Sinfonia via Keplr, you must have a BitSong wallet generated. If you don't have a BitSong wallet yet, [**create a wallet**](/get-started/create-wallet) and then come back to this section.

1. Go to [**Sinfonia App**](https://app.sinfonia.zone)**.**\
   Check the box after you have read the disclaimer on the risks.\
   Click on `Proceed` button

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2Flc2Ammuegr1LN3hGopjp%2Fphoto_2022-12-07_14-51-52.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=bc5d2b2e-0f30-4725-be11-e3593d5602c7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2\. In the upper right corner you will find the "`Connect to Keplr`" button, click on it and approve the connection by signing the transaction with Keplr.

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2Fo9PUVHeEGQa6zce4HeqJ%2Fphoto_2022-12-07_14-51-27.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=abc89593-d508-4521-aeb4-69ed5e0dca6a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3\. Now in the upper right hand corner instead of the "`Connect to Keplr`" button you will see your connected wallet. When making transactions, before signing them with Keplr, always make sure that the wallet shown on the Sinfonia UI in the upper right corner is the same with the one in Keplr's browser extension, otherwise you may encounter errors in signing the transaction.

Our[ **launchpad**](/nft-launchpad), [**marketplace**](/nft-marketplace), and display features are open to all users, and we encourage everyone to explore the possibilities of web3 technology.

However, we also understand that some projects may require more visibility and exposure to achieve their full potential. If you have an NFT project that you believe could benefit from additional support and promotion, we invite you to submit your project to our team for consideration.

# FanToken applications

While [NFTs](/nft) are a bit more open and permissionless in terms of creation and listing for everyone, reagrding [**FanTokens**](/products/exchange/fantoken) there is currently no automated process for their creation, minting and listing on the [**Marketplace**](https://app.sinfonia.zone/fantokens). A FanToken involves many tasks to be performed by both the creator and Sinfonia and also includes some small expenses, especially if subsequent to listing you wish to create an [**incentivized pool**](/products/exchange/fantoken-liquidity-pools) as well.

**Also, only individuals or entities belonging to the music industry will be able to have a FanToken** (eg. an artist, record label, festival, club etc).

The Sinfonia's FanToken Request Form is an online form that allows musicians, bands, record labels, and other music-related entities to apply for the creation of their own FanToken on the Sinfonia platform.

The FanToken Request Form typically includes fields for the following information:

* Applicant's name and contact information
* Description of the artist, band, or label
* Description of the FanToken, including its purpose and intended use
* Information about the team behind the FanToken
* Financial information, such as projected budget and funding sources
* Marketing and engagement plan for the FanToken
* Other relevant information

The FanToken Request Form is an important tool for the Sinfonia platform, as it allows the platform to evaluate the potential of each applicant, and to determine whether the FanToken is a good fit for the platform. Once the form is submitted, the Sinfonia team will review the application, and if approved, will work with the applicants to create the FanToken and list it on the platform.

The FanToken Request Form is a key step in the process of creating a FanToken, and it is an important tool for artists, bands, record labels, and other music-related entities to connect with their fans and to raise funds for their projects. It also allows the Sinfonia platform to onboard more artists, bands, and labels, and to expand its offerings.

Therefore, before you contact us about creating a FanToken make sure you read up on what a FanToken is, what you can do with it, and what are the best ways to take advantage of it in the [**Exchange**](/products/exchange) and [**Yield Farming**](/yield-farming) sections of this documentation.

Below we attach a document created specifically for FanToken owners as an everyday guide on how to best employ such a powerful, innovative and revolutionary tool to create that close, win-to-win relationship with their Fans and users.

{% file src="/files/USLAn6Qa6jnlXDM6qBja" %}

Once you have gathered all the info we have made available to you and you are ready to create your Music FanToken, feel free to [**fill out this form**](https://forms.gle/N5nnALWEsPEbeTrd7). We need you to fill it out seriously and provide us with all the details we need or those you consider relevant, so that we can speed up the evaluation and eventual creation/listing process.

# Customer support

Sinfonia has no real customer support but in case you are experiencing problems or malfunctions with any of its features you can always ask for support in the various communities and someone from the team or the community itself will always be there to offer support.<br>

Communities:

* [**Discord**](https://discord.gg/wfC4f8USHr)
* [**Telegram**](https://t.me/Sinfoniazone)

In the event you're experiencing any issue that requires privacy or it couldn't be solved within the community, send us an email at <sinfonia@bitsong.io> and the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

# Roadmap Q1 2023

In July 2022, we launched Sinfonia in Mainnet minting and launching 14 [**FanTokens**](/products/exchange/fantoken), including artists, record labels, and music mags, giving fans for the first time the opportunity to buy, sell, or perform [**yield farming**](/yield-farming) operations with FanTokens related to the music industry.

We also promised that by the end of the year we would also work hard to integrate two new features as are [**NFT**](/nft) and the **Media Player**, and as evidenced by the public [**testnet**](/sinfonia-nft-testnet) we launched at the end of November 2022, we have kept our promise.

In fact, in the testnet you can already interact with the [**minting**](/nft/how-to-mint-an-nft) functions of NFTs, as well as listen to tracks or [**podcasts**](/nft-podcast) related to them or watch videos.

Now, though, the time has come to bring these new features into production, and so the roadmap for Q1 2023 that we have laid out for Sinfonia is as follows:

### **Sinfonia Docs Online** - Live

This is the documentation you're exploring in this moment. Keep in mind it is still an Alpha version and we're updating it daily.<br>

### **Global Ambassador Program** - January '23

An ambassador program is a marketing strategy used by companies or projects to promote their products or services through a network of individuals, known as ambassadors. \
\
These ambassadors are typically customers, fans or influencers of the company who are willing to promote the brand to their own networks. The program typically includes incentives, commissions, or exclusive access to products or events in exchange for their participation. \
\
The goal of an ambassador program is to increase brand awareness and sales through word-of-mouth marketing and social proof. \
This program can be a great way for a company to reach new audiences, and for the ambassadors to earn rewards for promoting the brand they already love.<br>

### **New Artists Onboard** - The whole quarter

Sinfonia's artist onboarding program is a set of steps or procedures that we use to onboard new artists and help them understand how to use the platform and take advantage of its services. The program is designed to make it easy for artists to get started with the platform and understand how to use it to promote their work and connect with fans.

The steps in an artist onboarding program can vary, but generally include:

&#x20; \- **Wallet Generation**: The first step is for the artist to generate a BitSong wallet. \
&#x20; \- **Profile setup**: The artist will be prompted to provide information about themselves, such as their name, bio, and links to their social media profiles. \
&#x20; \- **Content upload (NFT)**: Artists will be able to upload their music, videos, images, and other content to the platform. \
&#x20; \- **Tools and features**: The platform will provide the artist with tools and features to help them promote their work and connect with fans, such as analytics, marketing, and fan engagement tools. \
&#x20; \- **Support and guidance**: The platform will provide support and guidance to the artist, such as tutorials, FAQs, and customer support, to help them make the most of the platform.

The artist onboarding program is an important aspect of Sinfonia's artist engagement strategy, as it helps artists to understand the platform and how to use it to their advantage, and it makes them more likely to stay active and engaged with the fans.

### **NFT MUSIC CONTEST** - Registrations to open in January '23

An NFT Music Contest is a competition that is centered around the use of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in the music industry. The contest typically invites music artists, producers, and composers to submit their work in the form of NFTs to be judged by a panel of industry experts.

An NFT Music Contest can be a great way to showcase the potential of NFTs in the music industry and to encourage artists to experiment with the technology. Additionally, it can also help to bring more visibility to the contestants and their work. It can also be used as a way for music platforms to promote the use of NFTs and to increase the adoption of this new technology within the music industry.

* Trading: Once the FanToken is listed, fans and users can buy and sell the FanToken on the Sinfonia platform using the ecosystem's native token, BTSG, or other supported cryptocurrencies.

FanToken holders will be able to access exclusive content, merchandise, or experiences, and can also participate in fan engagement activities.

### [**Convert Podcast to NFT**](/nft-podcast) - Upgrade in January '23

Converting a podcast to an NFT (non-fungible token) refers to the process of creating a unique digital asset that represents ownership or access to a specific podcast episode or series. This is done by creating a token on the BitSong's Blockchain, and linking it to the podcast episode or series.

The process of converting a podcast to an NFT typically includes the following steps:

* Tokenization: The podcast episode or series is tokenized, meaning that a unique token is created on the blockchain to represent it.
* Encoding the podcast: The podcast file is encoded, meaning that it is turned into a format that can be embedded in the NFT.
* Creating the NFT: The token and encoded podcast are then combined to create the NFT, which can be minted, bought, sold and traded on various NFT marketplaces.
* Listing: The NFT is then listed on NFT marketplaces, where potential buyers can view and purchase it.
* Ownership: Once an NFT is purchased, the buyer becomes the owner of the unique digital asset and can access the podcast episode or series.

Converting a podcast to an NFT allows creators to monetize their content, and to give fans a unique way to own and access their podcasts. Additionally, it allows creators to track the performance of their podcasts, and to create a new way of engaging with their listeners, by offering exclusive and limited access to their content. It also allows for easy tracking of the revenue generated from the podcast, and for the creators to have a direct relationship with their audience.

### [**New incentives on Sinfonia Pools**](/yield-farming/liquidity-mining) - January '23

When gauges on Sinfonia are renewed, it typically means that the platform is updating its parameters for determining liquidity mining rewards. These gauges are typically used to measure how much liquidity a user has provided to the exchange, and can include metrics such as the total value locked (TVL) in a liquidity pool, the number of trades executed, or the time a user has provided liquidity.

Renewing these gauges can also mean that the platform is updating its reward structure for liquidity providers, for example by increasing or decreasing the amount of rewards for certain metrics, or by adding new metrics for determining rewards.

It can also mean that the exchange is updating its rules for participating in liquidity mining, for example by setting new minimum or maximum balance requirements, or by introducing new pools for different assets.

# Exchange

# AMM

AMM stands for Automated Market Maker, which is a type of decentralized exchange mechanism that utilizes algorithms to determine the price of assets. Unlike traditional centralized exchanges, which use order books to match buyers and sellers at a certain price, AMMs rely on liquidity pools, which are pools of assets supplied by liquidity providers.

These liquidity pools allow traders to exchange assets directly without requiring a counterparty, making them ideal for decentralized trading. Traders can buy or sell assets by trading with the liquidity pool at the current market price, and the pool's algorithm will automatically adjust the price based on the supply and demand of the assets.

Trades are executed using assets from liquidity pools. Users create pools for specific tokens and deposit assets into them. Users who supply assets to a pool are called liquidity providers (LPs).

AMM pools are permissionless, meaning a user can make a pool for any asset. In Sinfonia (Osmosis side), pool creators are able to customize the transaction fees and exit fees paid by liquidity providers when withdrawing assets from the pool.

Permissionless pools are key to decentralization, but they also create risks. Some users list fake tokens, hoping to trick others into buying the wrong asset. A common version of this scam is a token with a slight misspelling of a popular token (e.g., BTSGS or CLAYY). It is very important to make sure one is purchasing the correct asset before executing a trade.<br>

# FanToken

FanTokens are the artist’s economy, used to create their own currency in the native ecosystem. FanTokens have become popular in sport, allowing clubs to mint their own cryptocurrencies to create a new economy based around fan loyalty. They’re created by anyone with a following and traded just like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, FanTokens come with additional benefits, to be decided by the issuer. In Sinfonia’s case, the issuer is the artist and/or their label company.

For musicians, FanTokens offer truly transformative potential because they provide a means for artists to **connect directly with fans**.

For example, taking a cue from the sports industry, artists could let FanToken holders vote on topics like the next destination for a gig or the song line-up. Fans could use tokens to buy exclusive experiences like a behind-the-scenes meet-and-greet or limited-edition merchandise.

Even smaller aspiring artists can use FanTokens to their advantage. They can mint an allocation for sale and use the proceeds to crowdfund a music video, a studio album, or a tour.

Sinfonia allows various artists or their label companies to create their own FanTokens each having a diverse scope and ability of customization depending on their particular needs. What will the users be able to find inside the platform and what will they be able to do with their FanTokens?

* Customized, branded FanTokens issued by their favorite artists and bands
* Users can hold, trade, LP, or redeem their FanTokens for VIP rewards
* Artists decide on FanToken benefits and experiences.

Overall, FanTokens are a powerful and innovative tool that allow artists to create a close, win-win relationship with their fans and users, while also providing unique benefits and experiences for those who hold their tokens. Sinfonia's platform allows artists to take advantage of this opportunity to create their own economy, connect with their fans, and grow their brand.

# FanToken Swap

On the [**Swap Page**](https://app.sinfonia.zone/swap) you can swap your tokens. The process is simple: just enter the amount you want to exchange and click on Swap.<br>

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2F0JugXndCrqse7XON9A91%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=6101619c-610b-4dd1-a982-1b824214c9cc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the event you're experiencing slippage errors, try to increase the slippage by clicking on the arrow next to the "estimated slippage" value or try to swap a minor amount at the time.

# FanToken Liquidity Pools

A liquidity pool is a digital pile of cryptocurrency locked in a smart contract. This results in creating liquidity for faster transactions.

A major component of a liquidity pool are [**AMMs**](/products/exchange/amm)**.**\
In other words, users of an AMM platform supply liquidity pools with tokens, and the price of the tokens in the pool is determined by a mathematical formula of the AMM itself.\
\
Liquidity pools are also essential for [**yield farming**](/yield-farming) and blockchain-based different types of gamification.

Liquidity pools are designed to incentivize users of different crypto platforms, called liquidity providers (LPs). After a certain amount of time, LPs are rewarded with a fraction of fees and incentives, equivalent to the amount of liquidity they supplied, called liquidity provider tokens ([**LPTs**](/yield-farming/lp-tokens)).

Trades with liquidity pool programs like [**Sinfonia**](https://app.sinfonia.zone/pools) don't require matching the expected price and the executed price. AMMs, which are programmed to facilitate trades efficiently by eliminating the gap between the buyers and sellers of crypto tokens, make trades on DEX markets easy and reliable.

# FanToken Giveaway

A music FanToken Giveaway is an event or promotion where a music artist, label, or platform gives away a certain number of FanTokens to their fans or followers. FanTokens are digital assets that represent a fractional ownership in an artist, band, or label, and can be used to access exclusive content, merchandise, or experiences.

The structure of a FanToken Giveaway can vary, but the following elements are usually included:

* Eligibility: The giveaway is typically open to fans or followers of the artist, band, or label that is giving away the FanTokens.
* Entry requirements: To enter the giveaway, participants may be required to perform certain actions such as following the artist on social media, sharing a post, or answering a question.
* Prize: The prize is typically a certain number of FanTokens that can be used to access exclusive content, merchandise, or experiences.
* Announcement of winners: The winners of the giveaway will typically be announced on the artist, band, or label's social media channels or website.

FanToken Giveaways can be a great way for music artists, labels, or platforms to engage with their fans and to introduce them to the concept of FanTokens and the benefits they can bring. It can also be a way for the artists to reward their most dedicated fans and to create a sense of exclusivity around their fanbase. Additionally, it can also be used as a promotional tool to increase the adoption of FanTokens among music fans.\
\
On Sinfonia, FanToken Giveaways are being performed very often as they are campaigns included in the FanTokenomics in the "Loyalty Program" section and the owners may run several giveaways during a certain period of time.

# IBC

[Inter Blockchain Communication (IBC)](https://ibcprotocol.org/) is a protocol that’s part of the [Cosmos](https://cosmos.network/) technology stack, allowing seamless communication between blockchains. It’s designed to overcome one of the core challenges of legacy public blockchains, which is that they were built to operate as silos, with no opportunity to transfer data or tokens between platforms/chains.

IBC enables BitSong to interoperate with any other IBC-enabled blockchain in the Cosmos ecosystem. Furthermore, with innovations such as the [Evmos](https://evmos.org/) or [Axelar](https://axelar.network/), IBC is also being used to power bridges to non-Cosmos blockchain ecosystems like Ethereum.

What does this mean in practice? IBC allowed us to list $BTSG on any Cosmos DEX such as [Osmosis](https://app.osmosis.zone/?from=ATOM\&to=BTSG) or others that will be deployed in the future. It will also allow anyone holding NFTs, Fan Tokens, or BTSG, the possibility to use them in applications on other compatible blockchains. For instance, as the Cosmos DeFi ecosystem develops, someone could use the value stored in their BitSong-issued NFTs as collateral to take out a loan.

\
Therefore, both BTSG and FanTokens or NFTs have their doors open to other ecosystems and can be moved at the discretion of each operator, using the available tools. On the [map of zones](https://hub.mintscan.io/chains/ibc-network), one can see every interchain movement or transaction made on one or more channels, and the same channels open to other blockchains.&#x20;

For example BitSong at the moment is communicating with 6 chains through 14 different relayers.

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2F6ujjpmKcDTldagRoPMvQ%2FScreenshot%202022-11-10%20212326.png?alt=media&amp;token=08c885d4-9faa-4c55-aca4-c35756e06c9b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

IBC is important for BitSong, FanTokens, and NFTs of Sinfonia for several reasons:

1. **Increased liquidity and exposure**: IBC allows for seamless interoperability between different blockchains, enabling assets like FanTokens and NFTs to be transferred and traded on multiple blockchains. This increases liquidity and exposure, making it easier for users to buy and sell these assets, and for creators to reach a wider audience.
2. **Access to a wider range of services**: IBC allows different blockchains to access and utilize services provided by other blockchains. For example, BitSong's integration with IBC could enable Sinfonia's FanTokens and NFTs to be used as collateral on other DeFi platforms, providing more financial opportunities for creators and investors.
3. **Reduced fees and faster transactions**: By leveraging IBC, transactions can be settled faster and with lower fees, which benefits both creators and users. This could make FanTokens and NFTs more accessible to a wider range of people, encouraging greater adoption of the technology.

Overall, IBC is an important protocol for BitSong, FanTokens, and NFTs of Sinfonia as it allows for greater interoperability, liquidity, and exposure of these assets, while also improving transaction speeds, reducing fees, and providing access to a wider range of services. This could help to further drive adoption of blockchain technology in the music industry and beyond.

# Advantages of using AMMs and DEXs

There are several advantages to using automated market makers (AMMs) and decentralized exchanges (DEXs), including:

* Decentralization: DEXs and AMMs are decentralized, which means that they are not controlled by any single entity. This can provide a higher level of security and trust for users, as well as greater resistance to censorship.
* Anonymity: DEXs and AMMs can be accessed without the need for personal identification, which can provide more privacy for users.
* Accessibility: DEXs and AMMs can be accessed from anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection and a device to use.
* Control of funds: When using DEXs and AMMs, users retain control of their own funds, and do not need to trust a third party with their assets.
* Direct trading: DEXs and AMMs allow users to trade directly with each other, rather than needing to go through a central authority.
* Low barriers to entry: DEXs and AMMs can be easily accessed and used by anyone with an internet connection and a device.
* Innovation: DEXs and AMMs can facilitate new and unique ways of trading, including liquidity pools, yield farming, and more.
* Innovative token economics: Some AMMs use their own tokens to allow users to vote and govern the protocol or the liquidity mining mechanism, allowing the community to drive the evolution of the protocol.

It's important to note that DEXs and AMMs are relatively new and evolving technology, and these advantages may change over time as the technology and the ecosystem develop further.

# Risks on using AMMs and DEXs

Some risks to be aware of when using automated market makers (AMMs) and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) include:

* Liquidity risk: DEXs and AMMs can have lower liquidity compared to centralized exchanges, which means that it can be difficult to find buyers or sellers for certain assets at the price you want.
* Smart contract risk: DEXs and AMMs rely on smart contracts to execute trades and manage funds, so if there is a bug or vulnerability in the smart contract, funds can be lost.
* Impermanent loss: When liquidity providing, you are exposed to the risk of impermanent loss. This is the difference between the value of your assets when you provide them as liquidity and their value when you remove them.
* Front-running risk: Because DEXs are decentralized, it is possible for traders with faster access to the blockchain to see and act on trades before they are executed, which can lead to unfair advantages.
* Lack of regulation: DEXs and AMMs are not regulated in the same way as centralized exchanges, so there may be less protection for users in case of fraud or hacking.

It is worth noting that DEXs and AMMs are relatively new and still evolving, so it's important to be aware of the latest developments and potential risks. It's also important to conduct your own research and to be mindful of what you are doing with your crypto-assets, and not to leave crypto-assets on a DEX or AMM longer than necessary.

# Liquidity Mining

Liquidity mining is a way for users to earn rewards in the form of cryptocurrency by providing liquidity to a decentralized exchange. In traditional financial markets, liquidity refers to the ease with which an asset can be bought or sold without significantly affecting its price. In the context of decentralized exchanges (DEXs) like Sinfonia, liquidity is provided by users who deposit cryptocurrency into a liquidity pool. These pools are used to facilitate trading between different assets on the exchange, and users who provide liquidity are rewarded with a share of the transaction fees.

Liquidity mining is a way to incentivize users to provide liquidity to a DEX by offering additional rewards in the form of a second cryptocurrency. These rewards are typically distributed to users in proportion to the amount of liquidity they provide to the pool. For example, if a user deposits 10% of the total liquidity in a pool, they may receive 10% of the liquidity mining rewards.

Liquidity mining is seen as an important tool for bootstrapping liquidity on a new DEX, as it encourages users to provide liquidity and ensures that there are sufficient funds available for trading. It also helps to create a more decentralized and fairer distribution of tokens, as users are able to earn rewards for their contributions rather than simply buying tokens on the open market.

In the case of Sinfonia, liquidity mining is an important aspect of the FanToken ecosystem, as it allows users to earn rewards for providing liquidity to the FanToken pool. This, in turn, helps to create a more vibrant and active ecosystem, as users are incentivized to hold and trade FanTokens on the Sinfonia marketplace. By participating in liquidity mining, users can earn rewards while supporting the growth of the FanToken economy.

<br>

# Liquidity Providers

Liquidity providers are individuals or entities that supply liquidity to a decentralized exchange (DEX) or automated market maker (AMM) platform by depositing their digital assets into a liquidity pool. Liquidity providers are essential for ensuring there is sufficient liquidity in the pool so that traders can execute trades without price slippage.

In exchange for providing liquidity, liquidity providers earn a share of the trading fees generated by the DEX or AMM platform. These fees are usually distributed to liquidity providers in proportion to their share of the liquidity pool.

Liquidity providers take on some level of risk when they deposit their assets into a liquidity pool. The value of the assets in the pool can fluctuate, and there is always a risk of impermanent loss (a temporary loss in value due to changes in the price of the assets in the pool).

To incentivize liquidity providers to deposit their assets and mitigate the risks, many DEX and AMM platforms offer additional rewards in the form of liquidity provider (LP) tokens. These LP tokens represent the liquidity provider's share of the pool and can be staked to earn additional rewards, such as governance tokens or more trading fees.

In simpler terms, as a liquidity provider, you’ve sowed the seeds and are waiting for the harvest. Plus, you earn a trading fee whenever a trader buys or sells the asset you’ve pooled for and for [**Bonding your LPTs**](/yield-farming/bonding-lp-tokens)**.**

# LP Tokens

LP tokens, or Liquidity Provider tokens, are a type of token that represent a user's ownership of a particular pool of liquidity on a decentralized exchange (DEX). When a user provides liquidity to a DEX, they deposit two types of tokens (usually a base token and a quote token) into a liquidity pool, which is then used to facilitate trades on the exchange.

In return for providing liquidity, users receive LP tokens that represent their share of the liquidity pool. The LP tokens are typically created by the DEX and are specific to the liquidity pool that the user has contributed to.

LP tokens can be transferred, traded or held just like any other cryptocurrency, and they can be used to withdraw the user's share of the pool's liquidity at any time. The value of LP tokens is based on the underlying value of the tokens in the liquidity pool and is constantly changing as the price of those tokens fluctuates.

In addition to being able to withdraw their share of the pool's liquidity, LP token holders are also entitled to a portion of the trading fees generated by the pool. The amount of fees earned by the LP token holder is proportional to their share of the liquidity pool, which is represented by the number of LP tokens they hold.

LP tokens are an important component of decentralized exchanges, as they allow users to earn a return on their cryptocurrency holdings by providing liquidity to the exchange. By earning fees on trades and receiving a portion of the liquidity pool, LP token holders can earn a passive income from their cryptocurrency holdings.

For example, if Pool #1 is the CLAY<>BTSG pool, users can deposit CLAY and BTSG tokens into the pool and receive back Pool1 share tokens. These tokens do not correspond to an exact quantity of tokens, but rather the proportional ownership of the pool.

When users remove their liquidity from the pool, they get back the percentage of liquidity that their LP tokens represent.

You have correctly bonded your Assets and you are earning daily rewards. To view the amount of the Liquidity you have provided in the Pool, click on the Pool and consult the index “*My Liquidity”*

### What does it mean "Bonding LP Tokens"?

The process of bonding LP tokens involves staking these tokens into a liquidity pool and locking them up for a set period of time in exchange for additional tokens. This process is also known as yield farming.

When LP tokens are staked into a liquidity pool, they represent a share of the total liquidity within that pool. When a user bonds their LP tokens, they are essentially pledging their share of the liquidity to be used for other purposes, such as providing liquidity for other pools, participating in governance, or even receiving additional rewards.

In exchange for bonding their LP tokens, users are often provided with a new token that represents their locked liquidity, often called a "bLP" token or "bonded LP" token. These bonded LP tokens can then be used to participate in other activities on the platform, such as providing liquidity for other pools or participating in yield farming.

The benefit of bonding LP tokens is that it allows users to earn additional rewards for providing liquidity while also reducing the risk of impermanent loss. By locking up LP tokens, users are reducing the amount of liquidity in the pool and therefore reducing the potential for price fluctuations that could result in losses for liquidity providers.

Overall, bonding LP tokens is an important mechanism for incentivizing liquidity providers and helping to ensure that liquidity remains stable on decentralized exchanges and other DeFi platforms.

# Impermanent Loss

Impermanent loss is a term used in liquidity provision for automated market maker (AMM) protocols such as Sinfonia, Osmosis, and others. When a liquidity provider (LP) adds funds to a liquidity pool, they are issued LP tokens representing their share in the pool. LP tokens are fungible and can be freely traded, but they represent a proportional ownership of the underlying assets in the pool.

Impermanent loss refers to the temporary loss of value that liquidity providers may experience when they supply liquidity to a pool that experiences a change in the relative prices of the tokens in the pool. This happens when the price of one token in the pool rises relative to the other token(s), causing the LP's share of the pool to shift in value compared to the initial value of the assets they deposited. The impermanent loss occurs because the LP would have been better off simply holding the assets outside the pool rather than supplying liquidity to the pool.

The term "impermanent" is used because the loss is not realized until the LP removes their funds from the pool. If they keep their funds in the pool long enough, the relative prices of the tokens may revert back to their original ratio, and the LP's loss will become "permanent" if they withdraw their funds at that time.

The impermanent loss is typically calculated by comparing the value of the LP's original deposit with the value of their LP tokens at the time of calculation. The actual impermanent loss will depend on the specific token pairs in the pool, the relative price changes of those tokens, and the time period for which the LP has provided liquidity.

When the price of the assets in the pool change at different rates, LPs end up owning larger amounts of the asset that increased less in price (or decreased more in price). For example, if the price of CLAY moons relative to BTSG, LPs in the CLAY-BTSG pool end up with larger portions of the less valuable asset (BTSG).

To further offset impermanent loss, particularly in the early stages of a protocol when volatility is high, AMMs utilize liquidity mining rewards. Liquidity rewards bootstrap the ecosystem as usage and fee revenues are still ramping up.

# Bonded Liquidity Gauges

<figure><img src="https://916555919-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Ffr6xYD699hS4NqvSm4tR%2Fuploads%2Fi0IbPI7sMZOaAYIJFxgc%2FScreenshot%202022-12-01%20181240.png?alt=media&amp;token=825b05e3-c801-4e6c-873c-d3c9800540cc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Bonded Liquidity Gauges are mechanisms for distributing liquidity incentives to [**LP tokens**](/yield-farming/lp-tokens) that have been bonded for a minimum amount of time. 34% of the current FanToken's total supply listed on Sinfonia goes towards these liquidity incentives.

For instance, a Pool 1 LP share, 1-week gauge would distribute rewards to users who have bonded Pool1 LP tokens for one week or longer. The amount that each user receives is in proportion to the number of their bonded tokens.

A bonded LP position can be eligible for multiple gauges. Qualifications for a gauge only involve a minimum bonding time.

The rewards earned from liquidity mining are not subject to unbonding. Rewards are liquid and transferable immediately. Only the principal bonded shares are subject to the unbonding period.

# NFT

Welcome to Sinfonia NFT feature! Here, you will have the opportunity to get familiar with the exciting world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and how they are being utilized in the music industry.&#x20;

NFTs are unique digital assets that are stored on the blockchain, and they can be used to represent anything from music and art, to videos and collectibles. In the music industry, NFTs can be used to represent ownership of music tracks, concert tickets, and even artist merchandise. They allow for the creation of unique and limited digital items, which can be bought and sold on the open market.&#x20;

Sinfonia is taking advantage of this technology by allowing artists to mint their own NFTs, which they can then use to offer fans exclusive access to their music, or give them the ability to own a piece of the artist's work. Sinfonia also exploring ways to use NFTs to help artists monetize their work, such as using NFTs to represent ownership of streaming royalties.&#x20;

With Sinfonia's NFT feature, artists can now have more control over their music and more opportunities for revenue. By joining Sinfonia's NFT feature, you will be able to connect with artists, discover new music and also be a part of this revolution in the music industry.

# What is an NFT

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a digital asset that represents a unique item on a blockchain. Unlike fungible tokens such as cryptocurrencies, each NFT is distinct and limited in quantity, making them unique and easily identifiable. They serve as proof of authenticity and ownership within the digital realm and cannot be replicated or transferred without the owner's permission.

Just like with any other valuable item, the value of NFTs is determined by the people who believe they are valuable. It's a shared belief that gives value to things like fiat money, precious metals, or vehicles. Digital collectibles are no different.

In Sinfonia, NFTs can be used to tokenize a variety of assets, including songs, albums, playlists, podcasts, tickets, and merchandise through the launchpad. This offers creators a new way to monetize their work and build a loyal fan base. By using FanTokens, fans can also participate in the creative process and engage with the artist in new ways.

Sinfonia's marketplace makes it easy for creators to sell their NFTs and earn the revenue they need to pursue their projects. With this platform, fans and users can have direct access to unique, exclusive content while supporting their favorite artists. NFTs have the potential to revolutionize the way we think about digital ownership and creativity.

# NFT Launchpad

Coming Soon

An NFT launchpad is a platform that helps creators and artists launch and sell their NFTs. It provides a set of tools and services that make the process of creating, minting, and selling NFTs easier and more accessible. Typically, an NFT launchpad is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, with features that allow creators to manage their digital assets easily.

The launchpad often offers a variety of features such as customizable templates for NFT designs, secure and scalable minting, and auction options. Some launchpads also provide marketing support to help creators promote their NFTs to a wider audience. They may also offer analytics tools to track the performance of NFTs and help creators make more informed decisions about their pricing and marketing strategies.

The Sinfonia NFT launchpad is a venue that helps artists to develop and launch their NFT projects. Sinfonia NFT launchpad can assist creators in raising funds, developing NFTs, and marketing it to the community. The NFT launchpad is designed explicitly for the NFT projects and does not include FanTokens in it.

Let's take an example: *Sinfonia and Adam*

*Sinfonia runs an NFT launchpad platform, while Adam wants to create an NFT collection, but he doesn’t have any money. Adam creates the template of his idea and, with the approval of Sinfonia (or not), lists it on the platform.*

*The investors who find idea of Adam valid may offer him money for the project’s development in exchange for early access. If the idea of Adam is good, then both the early investors and the creator benefit. This is how NFT launchpads work.*

So the Launchpad supports creators to mint and sell their NFTs in a unique portfolio with a curated collection that allows collectors to purchase their required one at ease. Creators would launch on a first-come-first-serve basis or on an auction one, or on a lottery model to fairly distribute their NFTs, thereby boosting community engagement together with the FanTokens.

We are launching the NFT Launchpad with the main goal to support sprouting creators to raise funds to create music NFT projects or music projects in general.

Our experience within the blockchain industry and enthusiasm in the web3 music space created incredible innovations to empower and excel the prominent music industry by unleashing its potential abilities in this new market.

# NFT Marketplace

Coming Soon on Sinfonia

An NFT marketplace is a platform where creators can sell their NFTs, and buyers can purchase them using cryptocurrency. These marketplaces provide a space for creators to showcase and sell their NFTs to a global audience, while buyers have access to a wide variety of unique and rare digital collectibles.

The marketplace typically allows creators to set the price and terms of sale for their NFTs, and buyers can place bids or purchase the NFT outright. The transactions are secured using blockchain technology, providing a transparent and secure platform for both parties.

Therefore, Sinfonia NFT marketplace is the platform where NFTs can be listed, stored, displayed or traded. These marketplace is to NFTs what Amazon or eBay are to goods.

In order to access and use the marketplaces, you will need to have the following:

* A [**bitsong wallet**](/get-started/create-wallet)
* An amount of [**BTSG**](https://docs.bitsong.io/btsg/what-is-btsg)s in the wallet: You will need to pre-fund your wallet with BTSG before buying, listing or minting an NFT.

In the perfect blockchain ideology, BitSong/Sinfonia will never ask for a registration via email and password to any of its services, but the only way to interact with them is by connecting a bitsong wallet to those services.\
It’s worth noting that, for the most part, listing and creating NFTs on the marketplace platform incurs a bitsong blockchain network fee, which is in any case very low.

#### Buying an NFT&#x20;

NFTs are usually purchased directly for a fixed price or through an auction. In some cases, prospective buyers can submit offers to the owner and attempt to negotiate a better price.

#### Selling an NFT&#x20;

Selling unique digital assets can be a more technically complicated process than buying them, particularly if the user is attempting to sell something they have created themselves (artwork, a soundtrack, merchandise etc.).

# NFT Podcast

Welcome to the Podcast feature of Sinfonia.

\
Sinfonia makes available the tokenization via NFT of podcasts as well, thus offering an opportunity for creators to be able to further monetize for the time they devote to such service but also to offer their audience an innovative alternative for listening to their content and at the same time gamification and interaction that they were not able to perform before.

Read more in the [**Intro**](/nft-podcast/intro).

# Intro

A podcast is a form of media content designed as a collection of digital audio files. Think of it as the modernization of the radio. Each individual audio is called an episode and can be downloaded or listened to online.

Whether it be news, sports, celebrities, finance, or lifestyle, there is an endless list of subjects in today’s most popular podcasts that ensures anyone can find something entertaining. Successful podcasts come from both recognizable companies and small creators alike.

Like any digital asset, podcasts can even be turned into NFTs. While visual NFTs are often most talked about, audio NFTs could be the medium of the future. They would offer an experience for the listener. Podcast hosts could allow fans to bid on a chance to own their favourite podcast episode. By offering non-fungible podcasts, hosts can strengthen their relationship with listeners and promote a greater sense of community.

# NFT Music Release

Coming Soon

An NFT music release is a new and innovative way for music creators to release their music as a non-fungible token on the blockchain. By releasing music as an NFT, artists can offer their fans a unique and valuable collectible item that represents a specific piece of their music. NFT music releases can include anything from individual songs to entire albums or exclusive remixes, each represented as a unique NFT.

NFT music releases offer several benefits for both creators and fans. For creators, it provides a new revenue stream that allows them to earn money directly from the sale of their music as a collectible item. It also offers a new way for artists to connect with their fans by providing them with a unique and exclusive item that represents their work. For fans, NFT music releases offer a new way to engage with their favorite artists and show their support. They can own a piece of their favorite artist's music and receive additional benefits such as exclusive access to concerts or backstage passes.

In Sinfonia, creators can tokenize their music releases using NFTs and launch them on the NFT marketplace. They can set their own terms and conditions for the NFT sale, such as the number of copies available, the price, and the royalties they receive. Sinfonia also offers tools for creators to promote their NFT music releases, such as social media integrations and marketing campaigns. Overall, NFT music releases are an exciting new way for music creators to engage with their fans and earn money for their work.

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2Fn1eQZHszps1gOSai2Xdn%2FScreenshot%202022-12-06%20201808.png?alt=media&amp;token=4938ac5e-9048-4433-a97a-8572da8fc01e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**The Pools** feature is where liquidity providers can take advantage of the opportunity to earn yields on their Fan Token deposits on the Sinfonia platform. Artists set up their liquidity pools with their preferred token pairs, and providers can then bond tokens to the pool to earn a share of transaction fees, and perhaps even some additional FanTokens as rewards, via [Yield Farming](/italian/yield-farming).

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2F6oSb7aElWjaiRO2faCU8%2FScreenshot%202022-12-06%20202003.png?alt=media&amp;token=f1aa215c-3213-4422-a8b1-cf902fedf17b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

At the moment you can get an explanation of those features in the [**Sinfonia NFT Testnet**](/italian/sinfonia-nft-testnet) section of this documentation while you can explore them live in the [**Sinfonia Testnet Environment**](https://testnet-app.sinfonia.zone/nfts).

# Get Started

# Create Wallet

In order to be able to connect to Sinfonia and perform operation on the UI, you will need to generate your BitSong wallet.

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FW2Ih81x0QzvrEPLyrkNP%2FScreenshot%202022-12-05%20235317.png?alt=media&amp;token=885ea10f-f248-46bd-855c-c59d0407281f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This is a [**full guide**](https://docs.bitsong.io/useful-guides/how-to-create-a-bitsong-wallet) on how you can create a BitSong wallet via Keplr.

However, keep in mind that we have several options available and we're using Keplr just as an example.&#x20;

Wallets are available both on desktop computers and on smartphone devices. You'll need to choose the wallet that fits your needs best.

In the event you want to perform the wallet generation via mobile app, [**Cosmostation**](https://docs.bitsong.io/btsg/wallets#cosmostation) or [**Leap Wallet**](https://docs.bitsong.io/btsg/wallets#leap-wallet) might be your option.

Mobile device wallets and desktop-based wallets have different strengths and weaknesses. Consider which fits your needs better to help decide which type of wallet to use.

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FjEkYDFEnOWsmpixOINLN%2FScreenshot%202022-12-05%20235533.png?alt=media&amp;token=6b8942c3-e992-4446-88ec-1a3361cc3923" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Connect to Sinfonia with Keplr

In order to connect to Sinfonia via Keplr, you must have a BitSong wallet generated. If you don't have a BitSong wallet yet, [**create a wallet**](/italian/get-started/create-wallet) and then come back to this section.

1. Go to [**Sinfonia App**](https://app.sinfonia.zone)**.**\
   Check the box after you have read the disclaimer on the risks.\
   Click on `Proceed` button

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FE5oRmK5ULwUgKVEBgYV4%2Fphoto_2022-12-07_14-51-52.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=bc5d2b2e-0f30-4725-be11-e3593d5602c7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2\. In the upper right corner you will find the "`Connect to Keplr`" button, click on it and approve the connection by signing the transaction with Keplr.

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FRupmdeN4MD8oKdjDUwhN%2Fphoto_2022-12-07_14-51-27.jpg?alt=media&amp;token=abc89593-d508-4521-aeb4-69ed5e0dca6a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# NFT Applications

In Sinfonia, the [launchpad](/italian/nft-launchpad) (creation and minting of NFTs), [marketplace](/italian/nft-marketplace), and display on the UI via invitation links are basically open for everyone.

However, if you consider you have an NFT project that deserves more visibility and which could be beneficial to both Sinfonia and you as a creator, feel free to submit your project to the team by sending a detailed email to <sinfonia@bitsong.io> .

Keep in mind that it may take up to 14 business days to receive a response.

# FanToken applications

While [NFTs](/italian/nft) are a bit more open and permissionless in terms of creation and listing for everyone, reagrding [**FanTokens**](/italian/products/exchange/fantoken) there is currently no automated process for their creation, minting and listing on the [**Marketplace**](https://app.sinfonia.zone/fantokens). A FanToken involves many tasks to be performed by both the creator and Sinfonia and also includes some small expenses, especially if subsequent to listing you wish to create an [**incentivized pool**](/italian/products/exchange/fantoken-liquidity-pools) as well.

**Also, only individuals or entities belonging to the music industry will be able to have a FanToken** (eg. an artist, record label, festival, club etc).

Therefore, before you contact us about creating a FanToken make sure you read up on what a FanToken is, what you can do with it, and what are the best ways to take advantage of it in the [**Exchange**](/italian/products/exchange) and [**Yield Farming**](/italian/yield-farming) sections of this documentation.

Below we attach a document created specifically for FanToken owners as an everyday guide on how to best employ such a powerful, innovative and revolutionary tool to create that close, win-to-win relationship with their Fans and users.

{% file src="/files/USLAn6Qa6jnlXDM6qBja" %}

# AMM

Automated market makers (AMMs) are decentralized finance protocols that allow for the swapping of assets without a centralized intermediary. Smart contracts replace trading desks and order books in "making the market."

# FanToken Swap

# FanToken Liquidity Pools

A liquidity pool is a digital pile of cryptocurrency locked in a smart contract. This results in creating liquidity for faster transactions.

A major component of a liquidity pool are [**AMMs**](/italian/products/exchange/amm)**.**\
In other words, users of an AMM platform supply liquidity pools with tokens, and the price of the tokens in the pool is determined by a mathematical formula of the AMM itself.\
\
Liquidity pools are also essential for [**yield farming**](/italian/yield-farming) and blockchain-based different types of gamification.

Liquidity pools are designed to incentivize users of different crypto platforms, called liquidity providers (LPs). After a certain amount of time, LPs are rewarded with a fraction of fees and incentives, equivalent to the amount of liquidity they supplied, called liquidity provider tokens ([**LPTs**](/italian/yield-farming/lp-tokens)).

\
Therefore, both BTSG and FanTokens or NFTs have their doors open to other ecosystems and can be moved at the discretion of each operator, using the available tools. On the [map of zones](https://hub.mintscan.io/chains/ibc-network), one can see every interchain movement or transaction made on one or more channels, and the same channels open to other blockchains.&#x20;

For example BitSong at the moment is communicating with 6 chains through 14 different relayers.

Insert the amount you want to import and click on Transfer. The amount you have transferred is now available on Sinfonia.

# Liquidity Mining

Liquidity mining (also called yield farming) is when users earn tokens for providing liquidity to a DeFi protocol. This mechanism is used to offset the impermanent loss experienced by [**LPs**](/italian/yield-farming/liquidity-providers).&#x20;

Liquidity mining rewards create an additional incentive for LPs besides transaction fees. These rewards are particularly useful for nascent protocols. Liquidity mining helps to bootstrap initial liquidity, facilitating increased usage and more fees for LPs.

<br>

# Liquidity Providers

The liquidity provider is the entity/individual that provides the tokens belonging to the liquidity pool. The liquidity provider receives a percentage from the trading fees that users pay when they place a trade.

For example, the [**CLAY/BTSG pool**](https://app.sinfonia.zone/pools/751) has per-trade fees of 0.3%. The amount is charged to the user for the transaction and is distributed among all providers according to their share. If a liquidity provider contributed 10% of the total share of the pool, for every $100 commission it will receive $10 profit.

The transaction fees are distributed proportionally to all the liquidity providers in the pool, so the more crypto assets you stake the more fees you'll earn.

In simpler terms, as a liquidity provider, you’ve sowed the seeds and are waiting for the harvest. Plus, you earn a trading fee whenever a trader buys or sells the asset you’ve pooled for and for [**Bonding your LPTs**](/italian/yield-farming/bonding-lp-tokens)**.**

# LP Tokens

When users deposit assets into a liquidity pool, they receive LP tokens. These tokens represent their share of the total pool.

Since buying and selling from the pool changes the quantities of assets within a pool, users are highly unlikely to withdraw the same amount of each token that they initially deposited. They usually receive more of one and less of another, based on the trades executed from the pool.

# Bonding LP Tokens

To **provide Liquidity** on the Pool click on *Add/Remove Liquidity*

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FYxuFlcE8Ul8t0OC5ODBL%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7b4677e6-6979-4db6-92d6-af28540f9e13" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Select the amount of tokens you want to Provide to the Pool. Remember to match the entire amount of the liquidity you want to add.

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FauT3o1vLJFygZ1qTjhcY%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5aae9be3-f99b-4fa3-98fb-c418910f38a4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now click on **Add Liquidity** and confirm the transaction on Keplr. To start **Earning Liquidity**, now you have to Bond your LP tokens. On the voice “Available LP Tokens” now you can view the amount of tokens that you’ve decided to Add into the Pool.

\
Click **on Start Earning**

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/dfoJH_suvon0kj0n8FHV58kqYCD0AM-BbC4m2ci2kwGxmUS6vkhyRzxZ4jYCFOj_RTLcdvQWJsJ5uuuGm36BWja-vh6dpZp9uGeS7pedb7zNL6OBkc5F2ITxiJeIFkgKREmq7ynI)

Choose the Unbonding Period (the time that have to pass before you get your liquidity back in the event you want to unbond it). The higher the unbonding period, the higher the APRs will be.&#x20;

Click on “**Max**” to Bond all your LP tokens or manually input the value you want to bond and then "*`Bond Tokens`"*

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/hju0g9AFtWrhFn_XjKURacYCk7ry0Qv0d3XdE9mIwXwhrKL9ROW_pPFLADg8FYBdNmnxclFdq93MWNXbXfyx3McFOj7JjadoNnc8puW6kJVcd6i2AoXp9h13ViMI3sSrAztyck0Z)

You have correctly bonded your Assets and you are earning daily rewards. To view the amount of the Liquidity you have provided in the Pool, click on the Pool and consult the index “*My Liquidity”*

# Impermanent Loss

Liquidity providers earn through fees and special pool rewards. However, they are also risking a scenario in which they would have been better off holding the assets rather than supplying them. This outcome is called impermanent loss.

Impermanent loss is the difference in net worth between HODLing and LPing. Liquidity mining helps to offset impermanent loss for LPs.

Impermanent loss is mitigated in part by the transaction fees earned by LPs. When the profits made from swap fees outweigh an LP’s impermanent loss, the pool is self-sustainable.

To further offset impermanent loss, particularly in the early stages of a protocol when volatility is high, AMMs utilize liquidity mining rewards. Liquidity rewards bootstrap the ecosystem as usage and fee revenues are still ramping up.

# Bonded Liquidity Gauges

<figure><img src="https://2393333487-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FyYus2orqN8nuBAVHJXi2%2Fuploads%2FBCAGuwH0gnkvdS0OTTdU%2FScreenshot%202022-12-01%20181240.png?alt=media&amp;token=825b05e3-c801-4e6c-873c-d3c9800540cc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Bonded Liquidity Gauges are mechanisms for distributing liquidity incentives to [**LP tokens**](/italian/yield-farming/lp-tokens) that have been bonded for a minimum amount of time.

# NFT

# What is an NFT

An NFT is a type of cryptographic token on a blockchain that represents a unique asset. These can either be entirely digital assets or tokenized versions of real-world assets. These tokens are entirely distinguishable from one another and are unique and limited in quantity.

As NFTs aren’t interchangeable with each other, they may function as proof of authenticity and ownership within the digital realm.

Just like other blockchain tokens, your NFT will exist on an address. It’s worth noting that NFTs can’t be replicated or transferred without the owner’s permission – even by the issuer of the NFT. If you are looking to store and have a place to view your NFTs, you can do that in an NFT-enabled wallet.

Naturally, NFTs are prone to price changes in response to market supply and demand as well as cultural trends that some of the NFTs are tied to.

But how can such things have value? \
Just like with any other valuable item, the value isn’t inherent to the object itself but is rather assigned by people who deem it valuable. In essence, value is a shared belief. It doesn’t matter if it’s fiat money, precious metals, or a vehicle – these things have value because people believe they do. This is how every valuable item becomes valuable, so why not digital collectibles?

In Sinfonia with NFTs, one can tokenize songs, albums, playlists, podcasts, tickets, merchandise through the launchpad, and use the marketplace to get the right revenues he needs to pursue his projects or to increase the level of gamification for Fans and Users together with FanTokens.

# NFT Launchpad

Coming Soon

Sinfonia NFT marketplace is the platform where NFTs can be listed, stored, displayed or traded. These marketplace is to NFTs what Amazon or eBay are to goods.

In order to access and use the marketplaces, you will need to have the following:

* A [**bitsong wallet**](/italian/get-started/create-wallet)

#### Buying an NFT&#x20;

NFTs are usually purchased directly for a fixed price or through an auction. In some cases, prospective buyers can submit offers to the owner and attempt to negotiate a better price.

#### Selling an NFT&#x20;

Read more in the [**Intro**](/italian/nft-podcast/intro).

Using NFTs as podcasts is a creative way for creators to engage their listeners, and for listeners to be rewarded. This idea has endless possibilities and benefits for everyone involved in the art of podcasting.
